Golf Course Review
HOLE 1: The first hole is a fine par 4 with a high green from which golfers can delight in dramatic views of the Mediterranean.
HOLE 2: 368-meter par 4 with a dogleg to the right and a high-level green strongly protected by three bunkers.
HOLE 3: First par 3 on the course, 192 meters long, high teeing ground and an ample green protected by an impressive bunker, the longest to be found on the round.
HOLE 4: 486-meter-Iong par 5. A drive path heavily protected by bunkers and the placement of the green well above the fairway level make this hole a terrible foe when the wind blows from the west.
HOLE 5: Another par 4 that normally enjoys favourable winds. Here the trick is to keep the driven ball out of the bunkers.
HOLE 6: 396-meter par 4 with a stunning view of the Sierra Helada mountains and the Peiion de Ifach, a huge granite outcropping rising out of the sea.
HOLE 7: Spectacular par 3 measuring 220 meters from black teeing markers with water hazards on the left and in front of the green. Although this hole is difficult for professionals, it offers relief for amateur players.
HOLE 8: A very long 534-meter par 5 where it is essential to place the second shot well if you want to get onto the green in three strokes.
HOLE 9: Par 4, where the tee-off must cross the second lake on the course. Here you will need to place the ball on the right side of the fairway to be able to cover distance when shooting to the green.
HOLE 10: One of the most difficult holes on the course. Dogleg to the left and a high finish with the green protected by water to the left.
HOLE 11: Par 5, 506 rising meters long, straight but formidable whether you're shooting with the wind or against it. Uneven green protected on the right by a good sized bunker.
HOLE 12: One of the prettiest holes on the course. 203-meter par 3 with an elevated teeing ground and sweeping vistas of the Sierra Helada mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.
HOLE 13: Par 4 with slight dogleg to the right, shorter than it looks from the tee. You will want to aim for the bunker to the left of the fairway to get your drive across the water as it falls.
HOLE 14: An entertaining 145 meters long with a well protected green offering a great shaping. Magnificent views of the Mediterranean once you get past the green.
HOLE 15: Par 4, not very long, but your drive must be very well aimed if you want to reach the green in two shots, because it's protected by bunkers located in front.
HOLE 16: Another long par 5 (525 meters) where your third stroke had better be accurate, since the green is well protected.
HOLE 17: Par 4 with a dogleg to the right where it is essential to get your ball over the bunker to give yourself a chance to reach the green in two strokes.
HOLE 18: Par 4 with tee-off over lake number three where you have to drive up the right side of the fairway in order to avoid the bunker lying to the left of the green. |
