La Manga Spain
Golf Course in Spain

La Manga Club in Spain offers the finest golf holiday any where in the world over 3 championship golf courses in La Manga Spain. Each one represents an entirely different test, giving golfers of all standards the opportunity to play in Europe's premier sports resort. The South course is the main championship course and hosts all the major competitions such as the European PGA Seniors Qualifying School and has hosted the Spanish open five times. Competitions are arranged three times per week.

We offer the following description and to make a perfect golf holiday at the best golf course in Spain. Golf in Spain and enjoy year round luxury and enjoyment.

The West Golf Course Year Founded: 1971
Architect: Dave Thomas

This beautifully manicured, tree lined course, is set in the rolling hillside overlooking La Manga Club. It’s breathtaking views, undulating fairways and fast greens make this course particularly exciting course to play. Unlike a lot of golf courses, having played here one feels that every facet of their game will be tested to the full. Especially the par 3 holes which are a collection of probably the best short holes to be found anywhere on one golf course, leaving the par 5’s to make up for the lost shots. Accuracy and good golf course management are very much a premium.

The South Golf Course Year Founded: 1971
Architect: Robert Dean Putman/Remodelled by Arnold Palmer in 1992

The Championship course at La Manga, it is a hard test the main difficulty being the length.

The front nine are particularly tough with two par 3s over 200 metres and some daunting par 4’s which will require some accurate driving between lakes and bunkers, and long irons or fairway woods to the green.

The back nine although shorter, has a number of tight dog-leg holes and special attention to the par 5 18th, with water on both sides of the fairway and a ravine just short of the green totally surrounded by sand, which will provide a particularly stern finish.

The greens in general are big and straightforward, but the player may often find himself with very long putts.

The North Golf Course Year Founded: 1971
Architect: Robert Dean Putman

The North Course at La Manga is a par 71 layout where precision rather than length is the main requirement. Strategic ravines around the course will make laying up a sensible choice for most players most times, and hitting a ball right to left will also be an invaluable help.

Slightly hillier than the South, spectacular views across the resort can be seen from the 4th tee, the highest point on the course.

Beware the short 2nd, only 96 metres long from an elevated tee but with deep, narrow green where the player can easily 3 putt. The greens are not as big as those of the south course, but they are well protected by deep bunkers and with their subtle breaks are assured top test players of all abilities.

We recommend that you pre book tee times for your golfing holiday, especially during medium and high seasons and we are happy to arrange this. You will also benefit from a 50% discount on both Golf and Tennis fees when you book with us.
